Lakeram “Dilip” Sukhu, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2019. Dilip was known as honest, hardworking, caring and loving. Dilip was born on May 25, 1949, in Guyana to Ramdeo and Deokie Sukhu. He met and married the love of his life Indra and together they raised their three beloved children. Dilip attended Sul Ross University and was a real estate professional for many years. He was known for his wise counsel to families so that bought a home that was perfect for them even if it meant loss of commission for himself. Dilip was active at the North Texas Hindu Mandir and sang in their beautiful choir. Dilip most enjoyed being with his family. When not working or with his family, he would be busy fixing car or things around their home. He was a Cowboy fan and loved old muscle cars and old British cars.
Dilip is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Indra Sukhu; his devoted children, Sharda Pandya and her husband Keval, Sudesh Sukhu, and Kiran Krein and her husband Jason; his adored granddaughters Aryana Pandya and Livia Krein; his loved siblings, Vishnu Sukhu and his wife Mintra, Rani Mohamed and her husband Shameer, Ravi Sukhu and his wife Sylvia Haniff, Mala Naraine, Vid Ramdhan and her husband Reshi; and his loving nieces and nephews. Dilip is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Chetram Sukhu; and his brother-in-law Mohan Naraine.
Dilip will be dearly missed by his family and everyone else who knew him.
