Linda Alvarado Life Story

Linda Jane Alvarado, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Linda was born on Thursday, 18, 1952 in Meadow, Texas to her parents, Filiberto Padilla and Antonia Torres Garcia. She married Ubence Ybarra, Sr in 1975 and they had two beautiful children, Angelita and Ubence, Jr. before his passing in 1992. Linda later reunited with her childhood sweetheart and current husband, John Alvarado, bringing him into her amazing family. Although family was her greatest passion, Linda had many other joys in life as well. She was a talented seamstress, blessed with an innate attention to detail. Her beautiful creations were adored by all of her clients. She enjoyed having a good time whether it was watching the Dallas Cowboys, playing Lotería and Bingo with her family, or making the occasional trip to Winstar World Casino to try her luck at the slot machines and Blackjack tables. She also loved to cook! Linda was known for her Menudo, and her family relished the flavors and comfort it brought them. While she liked to cook, Linda also enjoyed letting others cook for her as well. She loved to have breakfast and lunch at Mama’s Daughters’ Diner, where she and John become regular customers and always found their way to Caroline’s section. For Linda, every day was a celebration and she cherished life with her beloved family the most.

Linda joins in heaven her father, Filiberto Padilla; her mother, Antonia Torres Garcia; her step-father, Amado Garcia, Sr.; her beloved son, Ubence Ybarra, Jr.; and her brothers Andres Garcia and Amado Garcia, Jr. Linda leaves behind her loving husband of 25 years, John Alvarado; her devoted daughter Angelita Cantu and her husband, Tony; her adored grandchildren, Vincent Cantu, Lauren Cantu, Sierra Cantu, Ubence Ybarra, III, Alessandra Ybarra, Dallas Ybarra and Jacob Ontiveros; her adored great-grandchildren, Sebastian Ontiveros and Amina Cantu; her beloved twin sister, Maria Carmen Saenz; her brothers and sisters Jesus Garcia, Lilly Castillo, David Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, Virginia Molnar, Daniel Garcia, Gabriel Garcia and Christina Salazar, along with several nieces and nephews and extended members of the Padilla family.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
