Mary Lee (Bussey) Leatherwood

Mary Lee Bussey Leatherwood "Nana", 96, joined her husband and son in heaven on, Monday September 11, 2017 while at her home in Emory, Texas. Sweet little Mary arrived on January 6, 1921 to the delight of her parents, Charles and Beulah Bussey. Mary grew up on a dairy farm in Arlington, Texas and like most farm girls she was a hard worker. She would carry milk to downtown to help the family business. She was hard working as an adult as well, investing 42 years in the Engineering Department for of Southwestern Bell. She married the love of her life Joseph and had two children who she loved and adored. In 2012, Mary moved to Emory, Texas.

Mary was a funny, caring, loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Nana. She lived a long and wonderful life with her family and now she will live an eternal life with the Lord in heaven.

Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Leatherwood; devoted grandson, David lee Sharp and his wife Tiffany; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Woolridge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leatherwood; her son, Gary Leatherwood; her parents; and three brothers and two sisters.
