Nora Rosalie (Musso) Cook

AUGUST 24, 1920 – JUNE 8, 2018

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Cook died on June 8, 2018, after a long illness. Mrs. Cook was a founding parishioner of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America chapter there. A genuine “Rosie The Riveter,” she worked at North American Aviation in Dallas during World War II, and later lived abroad with her husband and children, returning to Texas in 1971. Thereafter, she had a long career with Dallas County, and then owned and operated a retail business for 17 years prior to finally retiring in 2008. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a faithful servant of God. She was exceedingly generous and lived her life in the service of others, unfailingly placing their needs before her own. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Musso, her husband of 43 years, Charles B. Cook, Jr., daughter Mary Cook Trimper, brother Ross J. Musso and sister Pauline Musso Harvey. She is survived by brother Nick F. Musso, Sr. and wife JoAnn of Dallas, son Charles B. Cook III of Dallas, Frank P. Cook and wife Rita of Dallas, daughter Paula Cook Saberali and husband Jay of Garland, grandchildren Gregory Lee and wife Melissa of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Theresa Thomas of Plano, Aaron Cook and wife Melissa of Tom Bean, David Cook and wife Brittany of Royse City, Haley Cook and fiancé Caylan Womack of Dallas, Jennifer Parks and husband Charles of Garland, Danielle Green of Garland, and Nosheen Cipriano and husband Dominic of Garland, as well as nine great- grandchildren: Tatiana Scott, Shyla Parks, Julianna Green, Charles Tristan Parks, Roslyn Cipriano, Antwone Green, Jackson Cook, Xander Parks and Liam Cipriano, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Rosary and viewing will be held on June 12, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Hughes Funeral Home, 9700 Webb Chapel Rd., Dallas, TX 75220. Burial Mass will be held on June 13, 2018 at 11 am at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 1404 Old Gate Lane, Dallas, TX 75218, with interment immediately following at Calvary Hill Mausoleum, 3535 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220.
