Tenley Hoover Life Story

My heart skipped a beat the first moment I heard yours. From that day to my last day, you will always have my heart. – K.L. Harris.

A baby is truly a miracle. Hearing a tiny heartbeat play alongside the heartbeat of the mother, feeling the first flutters of movement, and each roll and kick afterwards bring unspeakable joy to a parent. From the very start, a baby is special, and nothing can be so loved as a child to his or her parents. From her very first heartbeat, little Tenley Christine Hoover captivated the hearts of her parents, Colby Anthony and Megan Taylor Hoover. Even her older brother, Ryland Hoover couldn’t wait to see his little sister. He loved to be able to feel her deep in his Mommy’s tummy. For such a small baby still snuggled in her Mommy, Tenley was greatly loved by all her family. As it says in Psalm 139, Tenley was “fearfully and wonderfully made.” She made such an impact on the hearts and lives of others, and she was greatly anticipated. Her nursery, a beautiful collage of pinks and gray florals, was standing by, ready to receive it’s little occupant. A little Piglet doll waited to be grasped by her little hands just as Ryland held his little Pooh Bear. Toys and little girl clothes were cleaned, put away, and bags were packed ready to go to the hospital to welcome this little miracle. It was a time full of great love and joy as they waited for little Tenley. If love and joy could create a miracle, then surely it could provide another miracle, but to the shock and the extreme sorrow of her loving family, Tenley Christine Hoover passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, the day before her due date. Although her beautiful debut into this world was not what we excepted, her little life will be remembered by her loving parents, big brother, and family. Her family finds comfort knowing that their little girl is singing with the angels in the arms of Christ. As it says in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Tenley left the safe, warm embrace of her mother to the safe, warm embrace of her Savior as a little princess in the kingdom of heaven. Just as Tenley’s family eagerly anticipated her arrival to their home, Tenley now eagerly anticipates the arrival of her family to her new home.

Little Tenley Christine Hoover is survived by her devoted parents, Colby and Megan Hoover; her loving brother, Ryland Hoover; her caring grandparents, Greg and Jill Hoover and Michael and Susan Ross; her adoring aunts and uncles, Megan Hoover, Joshua Hoover, Noah Hoover, Clayton Ross, and Caden Ross; and her doting great-grandparents Jim and Judy Griffin, Eleanor Wick, Nancy Ross and Victor Chianese. Tenley is preceded in death by her uncle Cameron Ross and her great-grandparents, Jim and Helen Hoover, Carol Chianese, and Tommy Ross.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that family and friends please make donations to NowILayMeDownToSleep.org or to Watermark Church.

Tenley was her family’s beloved little miracle who will be remembered and adored until they all meet again at the gates of heaven.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
