Akhil Deenabandhu

Akhil Bhuban Sumant Kumar Deenabandhu went home to God at the age of 54 on the 17th of December 2020 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on the 17th of March 1966 in Jeypore (Odisha, India) as the fourth child of his late parents, Binod Kumar Deenabandhu and Santoshmoni Deenabandhu. He attended JELC High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Bikram Dev College in his home town in 1986. After completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application he worked as a computer instructor at BDPS Institute in Secunderabad, India. He served as Branch Manager of the same Institute in the cities of Bhubaneswar, Kolkata and Secunderabad. He moved to USA as an IT professional in 1998. He later transitioned to the Hospitality Industry and at the time of his death Akhil was employed at Motel-6, Farmers Branch, Texas.

He is survived by his sisters Sudipta Kumkumbala Deenabandhu and Suvansi Manojmala Deenabandhu, and his brother David Richard Nelson Deenabandhu. Two siblings, his sister Bidyut and brother Moses, preceded him in death.

He is remembered as a loving brother who was devoted to his family. He was a man of faith and was known as a humble, courteous, and helpful person.

The funeral service will be held at Hughes Family Tribute Center, Dallas, Texas on the 30th of December 2020 at 8:00 AM. The service will be live streamed for family and friends abroad who are unable to attend. The internment at Crown Hill Memorial Park cemetery will follow the service.
