Ashok Nair Life Story
Ashok Nair (63) passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 after a year-long, courageous battle with cancer, and surrounded by family.
Ashok was born on May 25, 1962 in Ranni, Kerala and moved to the United States several decades ago. After spending many years in New Jersey building his family & cultivating many friendships, he settled in Frisco, Texas in 2005 where he became a beloved member of the community. Known for his warmth, kindness, and involvement in social and cultural activities, Ashok touched the lives of many with his generosity and cheerful spirit.
Ashok was a handy-man, constantly working on things around the house and offering his services to all his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time on cars and teaching anyone who would listen how to use his tools or change the oil. Ashok was also very family-oriented and cherished moments spent barbecuing with his wife and kids. More than anything, he loved his "grandson"/dog Kush, who he devoted all his time (and treats) to.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sreekala Ashokkumar; his loving children, Sagar Nair and Swathy Nair; and his children-in-law, Monisha Mohan and Ashwin Nair. He is also cherished by his siblings - Sarasamma Nair (New Jersey), Padmini Pillai, Lalitha Gangadharan (India), Leela Swamy (Ohio), Thangamani Nair, and Ajay Nair (New Jersey).
Ashok was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by many.
