Billy "Kirk" Pruitt, 84, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024. Born on October 20, 1939, in Waxahachie, Texas, Kirk was the beloved son of Haskell and Irene Pruitt.
Kirk graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1957 and went on to earn his degree from North Texas State University in 1962. He was a lifelong active member of the Theta Chi Fraternity, cherishing the brotherhood and bonds formed during his college years and beyond.
From a young age, Kirk was known for his sense of humor. He was voted "Court Jester" in high school and had a knack for saying just the right thing to put a smile on your face. Kirk was quite the prankster who loved to have fun with his friends and family. His family will always remember him for his humor, his fun, and the smiles and laughs he gave them.
For 42 wonderful years, Kirk was married to the love of his life, Colleen Pruitt. Their enduring love and partnership were a testament to their commitment and devotion to one another.
Kirk's life was marked by his dedication to his family, his faith, and his community. His warm presence, kind heart, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the North Dallas Shared Ministries in Kirk's honor.
