Caleb Graham Larson passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2023, after a fourteen month battle with cancer.
Caleb was born on November 3, 2014 in Dallas, Texas to Phillip and Jocelyn Larson. He lived a full eight years and experienced a fun and carefree childhood, full of many wonderful memories, prior to becoming sick. During the ten months Caleb was hospitalized, he was brave, hopeful, respectful and showed graciousness to his many caregivers. When he felt well at the hospital, Caleb was playful, funny and a hard worker. His greatest joys while hospitalized included visits from his sisters & extended family, receiving cards from friends, listening to music and conversations & time spent with the hospital staff that quickly became a part of his inner circle.
School, music, sports, outer space and chocolate were some of Caleb's favorites. However, traveling, weekends at the lake, playing outside, and simply being with family & friends brought Caleb the most enjoyment. Caleb also loved holidays - all of them. Christmas was his absolute favorite, while Easter always held a special place in his heart.
Caleb dreamed of owning a big RV, working as an ice cream man or becoming an astronaut, the Aggies winning a national championship, and saving most of his money.
He will forever be remembered as a loving son, grandson, nephew, brother and friend that brought joy and laughter to others. Caleb loved well, had a kind & sensitive heart and a good sense of humor. He also knew how to give the perfect hug. May Caleb's optimistic and joyful outlook on life be carried out by his family and friends as his legacy.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Phillip and Jocelyn Larson; sisters, Olivia and Charlotte Larson; grandparents, Jon and Connie Graham and Sandy Larson; aunt and uncle, Haley and Camilo Arizmendi; aunt, Priscilla Larson and her fiancé, Michael Lee. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Phil Larson.
A Celebration of Life for Caleb will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 4pm at Dallas Bible Church.
Donations can be made in honor of Caleb's life to Children's Oncology Group, Camp iHope, and the Samuel Allen Pampel Foundation.
