Carmen Flores of Dallas passed away on July 14, 2020. She was 89 years old.
Carmen was born in Dallas, Texas, to Petra H. Flores and Luciano R. Flores. She graduated from high school and attended Key Punch trading school. She was hired by the Mercantile Bank then was transferred to American National Life Insurance at Arlington, where she later retired. Carmen was a volunteer at the Cathedral of Guadalupe as a Catechist every Sunday for over 40 years. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and aunt.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Rodriguez, Rafael Garcia and wife Monica Garcia, Elena Clark and husband Charlie Clark; grandchildren, Nicholas Garcia, Damian Garcia, Natalie Garcia; nieces and nephews, Ralph Flores and wife Connie, Ruben Flores and wife Debbie, Rita Koleri, Cindy Kajisivorpan and husband Kash Kajisivorpan, Vincent Lopez and wife Kay Lopez, Victor Gutierrez and wife Christina Gutierrez, Hector Gutierrez and wife Liza Gutierrez, Mark Gutierrez, Ricky Gayton and wife Theresa Gayton, Debbie Rodriguez and husband Donald Rodriguez; and all the grand nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Hughes Funeral Home 5pm to 8pm, Friday the 17th. The Mass and Burial will be held at the Calvary Hill Cemetery, Saturday the 18th at 2pm.
