In 1992, Charles made a pivotal move to Dallas in search of better opportunities. This decision not only transformed his professional life but also led him to meet the love of his life, Namea. Their love story is one of deep connection and unwavering support. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in mutual respect and shared dreams.

Charles was the epitome of a family man. He was a devoted father whose greatest pride and joy were his children. Known for his gentle nature, Charles never showed anger towards his children. Instead, he guided them with patience, understanding, and unconditional love. He was a true provider and protector, always putting his family’s needs above his own and ensuring their well-being and happiness. His legacy as a loving father and husband is deeply cherished by his family.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Namea; his cherished children, Brandon Ames, McKiethan Drake, Phillip Mannah, Jadrien Drake, Sarah Drake, and Christian Drake; his grandson, Bran' Tavious Latrell Greeley – Ames; his brother, Ben Drake; his aunts, Mary Drake, Hattie Drake, and Emma Mcdonald; his uncle, Carl Drake; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever remember him for his warmth, wisdom, and love.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Drake, and his father, Charles Bryant.
