Charley Vasquez

Charley Vasquez Sr, Carlos, 68, Born on January 29, 1957 passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, after an 8-year brave battle with cancer. Carlos is survived by his 3 children Michelle, Shaun and Charley Vaquez Jr; his 5 grandchildren Angel, Lauren, Valentino, Camila and Genesis Vasquez. 1 of 6 siblings he is Survived by His Brother Arturo Vasquez, sister Sylviana Robledo, sister Emily Vasquez and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his Father Lalo Vasquez, Mother Valentina Sanchez, brother Augustine Trujillo and sister Diana Vasquez.

He called Dallas, Texas home, where he became a well-loved figure in his community. Carlos lived a life full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections. For fun Carlos frequently joined pool leagues at Robbie's Place and other local pool clubs where he developed countless friendships over the years. You can often find him dancing the night away to Tejano music in his polished black boots with his Lady Sandra. He spent most of his life on a baseball field; it was more than a hobby - it was a passion. He followed the game closely, never missing a season, and could talk stats, players, and classic games for hours.

Carlos was a very hard worker until his last days, giving his all setting tile he leaves his mark in many homes and stores all over DFW. But more than anything, he loved spending time with the ones that called him Popo, his grand children. He will be deeply missed and memories made will forever be cherished.

Carlos life will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Hughes Family Tribute Center in Dallas. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the life of a man who touched so many.
