Christopher "Chris" Sanchez was born on March 20, 2002, to Laila Sanchez and Thomas Sosa in Dallas, Texas. From the beginning, Chris brought joy and laughter to his family. Growing up in a loving home with his mom and two sisters, he was known for his infectious humor and playful spirit. Chris had a knack for making everyone around him laugh, often breaking into goofy dances or pulling playful pranks like mooning his friends whenever the opportunity arose.
A passionate sports fan, Chris cheered passionately for his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. He loved the thrill of the game and could often be found debating sports stats with friends or cheering on his teams during games.
In his professional life, Chris found fulfillment working in the flooring industry in construction, but his true passion lay in cars. He had a natural talent for car mechanics and spent countless hours working on his beloved trucks, particularly his cherished Chevy Silverado. His skill and dedication to his trucks were evident to all who knew him.
Proud of his Dallas roots, Chris embodied his hometown spirit by tattooing the area code '214' on his hand. He had a love for food, especially enjoying pasta with shrimp and buttered popcorn. Fridays were a special tradition for him at Wingstop, where he indulged in his favorite wings.
Chris had a special connection with children, particularly his cousin's kids, who adored him. His fun-loving nature and caring heart made him a natural with kids, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family whenever they needed him.
Raised in the Catholic faith, Chris found solace and strength in his beliefs, often finding inspiration in St. Jude, the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes.
Tragically, Chris was taken from his family and friends too soon on July 8, 2024, in a car wreck. His sudden passing left a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and the community he touched.
Visitation to honor Chris will be held on Friday, July 19, from 5 to 8 pm at Hughes Family Tribute Center, with services following on Saturday, July 20, at 11 am. These gatherings will celebrate Chris's life, his laughter, his love for his family and friends, and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
