Daniel Goode Life Story

Daniel Shelton Goode was taken from us unexpectantly on Friday, September 10, 2021, in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27.

Daniel will have a lasting impact on so many people and forever be remembered as a loyal friend, great brother, and devoted son. His personal relationship with Jesus Christ greatly impacted how he lived his life and his love for the Lord influenced how he interacted with others both personally and professionally. Daniel graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in 2013 where he lettered in Varsity Soccer and made many lifelong friends. He attended Baylor University for two years where he was a member of The Outdoor Adventure Staff and was a certified Rock-Climbing Instructor. He graduated from the University of North Texas where he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Italian.

Daniel was a huge Dallas Stars fan and seldom missed a game. He had a passion for rock climbing, reading, mountain biking, playing video games with friends, snow skiing, karting and soccer. One of his favorite pastimes was water skiing at Lake Lewisville on his day off with his dad.

Daniel had a great sense of humor and playful spirit. He will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Although we are grieving, we have the undoubted assurance that we will see him again in heaven.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Glen Goode, and his maternal grandmother, Patty Jones.

He is survived by his parents David and Joni Goode, his brother Taylor; paternal grandmother Barbara Goode; Aunt and Uncle Jami and Mark Goode; Aunt Kay-Lynn Boyd; Cousins Elizabeth and her husband Ryan Reed and their children Peyton and Ellie Reed; Robert Goode, Christopher Boyd and Nicholas Boyd; and numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 2:30 pm in the Historical Sanctuary at First Baptist Church Dallas. The visitation will be Tuesday, September 21,2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm, at Hughes Family Tribute Center, 9700 Webb Chapel Road, Dallas, TX 75220.
