Daniel Ray Martin of The Colony, Texas was born in Dallas, Texas October 30, 1960, Bouncing into this world with red hair and gorgeous blue eyes. The son of Claud and Virginia Martin. He went to be with the Lord, March 26, 2023, at the age of 62.
Dan grew up in Milton, Florida and attended schools in Milton Florida and graduated from Milton High School in the class of 1978. He later went on to become a CADD Designer/Supporting Structural Engineers with Parson Transportation Corporation in Richardson, Texas.
Dan loved spending time with his children and went into full grandpa mode when he was around his grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and always talked about how proud he was of their accomplishments.
Dan loved his travel adventures, starting with his Navy Dad being stationed in Cuba, and his dad moving his family there. Dan enlisted in the Army in 1979 or there about, and was stationed in Hawaii, leaving in 1982. From that point on he loved to travel all over the country, he had places to go and things to see.
Dan loved his Lego sets, so much that he had his own designated room designed just for his Legos, His Goofy memorabilia had display cabinets filled to the brim with these Disney hound dogs! He loved Genealogy, NASCARS, and collecting baseball caps. Finding treasures at swap meets and antique stores. Fishing with friends and going to the casinos, WinStar Casino was his favorite. He loved good food and drinks, he liked seafood especially Dungeness Crab and heaven forbid, if he ran out of his Starbucks Vanilla Bean coffee.
Dan is survived by his wife Serenda (Wendy) of the home, children Jennifer, Matthew, Bailey,
Wendy’s Children Shawn, Christian and several grandchildren between Dan and Wendy.
Brothers Michael David Martin and family, Charlie Sparacin and family and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Dan is proceeded in death by his parents Claud and Virginia Martin.
