Diane Saucedo Life Story

Diane Lynn Saucedo
Diane Lynn Saucedo passed away peacefully in her home after a brave and dignified battle with Ovarian Cancer. Her departure leaves an immeasurable void for those who knew and loved her.

Born in Huntington, New York in 1954, Diane grew up alongside her brothers Kenny, Peter, and John. Their family bond was one of love, laughter, and quality time spent together.

In her early twenties, Diane made a life changing decision to leave New York to start anew in Texas. It was not long before she met and married her husband, Lee Saucedo, and became stepmom to his sons Dennis, Robert, and Michael. Diane and Lee then had two sons, Peter and Christopher. Diane served as the loving, much needed matriarch of this all male family. Lee preceded her in death in 2019.

In the five years before Diane's passing she was blessed with a second chance at love in the form of a wonderful man named Robert Traub, and they were soulmates to the end.

Diane is survived by her sons, daughter-in-law, an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and countless friends and acquaintances.

Diane was "One of a Kind", a true Yia Yia who cherished her children and grandchildren above all. She was a woman of depth, kindness, strength, comedy, and quiet wisdom. She had a gentle spirit and a generous, open heart. She was quick to give grace and had a gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and valued. Whether through laughter, a listening ear, or a simple hug, she had a way of lifting up those around her.

We were truly blessed to be touched by her love and light. She will be deeply and forever missed.
