Donald Richard McClane

It is with great honor and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Richard McClane, who departed this life on January 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on December 10, 1938, Donald lived a life marked by unwavering dedication, courage, and passion.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Donald served his country honorably from September 11, 1955, until his retirement on November 30, 1977. Throughout his distinguished military career, he held various roles, ultimately excelling as a recruiter. In this capacity, Donald dedicated himself to helping countless individuals find meaningful careers in service to our nation, exemplifying the same commitment and leadership he displayed during his time in active duty. His dedication to serving others continued long after his retirement, when he took it upon himself to establish a successful job placement business, furthering his mission of connecting individuals with opportunities that would bring them fulfillment and success.

In 1986, Donald made the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas, his home. A man of adventurous spirit, he had a lifelong passion for automobiles, particularly Jaguars, which he competed with great enthusiasm and remarkable skill. Known for his competitive nature, Donald consistently finished at the top, embodying his fearless zest for life.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Patti Lu McClane, as well as his three cherished children: Rick McClane, Ian McClane, and Renee Gambordella. He also leaves behind a legacy of love and pride through his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will carry his spirit forward.
