SAINT DON
Caring Son. Dear Brother. Devoted Husband. Cherished Father. Living Saint.
Donald Joe Wolfe was born into a loving home on July 2, 1953. Sixty-six years later, he would leave this world in the same loving home he grew up in.
Don - known as D.J. to some - would do anything for his family. He would drop everything to drive his sons anywhere they needed. He would dedicate his time to assisting his in-laws when they could no longer take care of themselves. With his quiet strength, Don showered his wife with love and laughter, providing a safe place for them to grow and live together. Whether it was a task as large as being a stay-at-home dad or one as small as making name tags for his annual family reunion, Don was always there for them.
His devotion to his family was how Don lived his faith. Just as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, Don’s love was patient and kind. It always protected, always trusted, always hoped, always persevered, and never failed.
Saint Don doesn’t have any statues. There are no monuments in his honor. But he is enshrined forever in our hearts and minds as the most selfless man we have had the privilege and honor to know.
