Donna Gustafson Life Story

Donna Faye Gustafson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, departed from this world on May 19, 2023, at the age of 80. Born on February 18, 1943, to her parents, Percy and Doris Mckee in Dallas, Texas, she lived a life filled with love, compassion, and a deep appreciation for nature. Donna will be fondly remembered by all who knew her as a vibrant, warm-hearted woman who cherished her family and found joy in the simplest of pleasures.

Donna had an infectious love for company and could often be found engrossed in a lively conversation on the phone. Her genuine interest in others and her ability to lend an empathetic ear made her a trusted confidant and a treasured friend to many. She found solace in connecting with people and building strong relationships, always ensuring that her loved ones felt valued and cared for.

Nature held a special place in Donna's heart. She found tranquility in the great outdoors and took great delight in biking and going on walks. The beauty of the world captivated her, and she relished every moment spent surrounded by the wonders of nature. Whether it was the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind or the vibrant colors of a blooming flower, Donna found God's presence and peace in the natural world.

Donna Gustafson's greatest joy and source of pride was her role as a mother. She poured her heart into nurturing and loving her children, and they held a special place in her life. She dedicated herself to their well-being, always offering a shoulder to lean on, guidance, and unwavering support. Her children were her world, and their happiness was her ultimate goal. Donna's love and devotion knew no bounds.

As much as Donna excelled as a mother, she humorously admitted that cooking was not her forte. Her family lovingly teased her about her culinary adventures, but it only strengthened their bond. Despite her culinary skills being questionable, Donna's warmth and love were the secret ingredients that made every family gathering memorable and cherished. Her family affectionately referred to her as "Nana," a testament to her nurturing spirit and the love she bestowed upon her grandchildren.

Deeply rooted in her faith, Donna was a devout Christian who found solace and strength in her relationship with God. She faithfully attended church throughout her life and actively participated in various congregations, finding community and spiritual growth. Her unwavering belief in the power of prayer and her dedication to living a life guided by Christian values served as an inspiration to those around her.

Donna Faye Gustafson leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Donna, let us celebrate the incredible woman she was, cherishing the memories she gifted us and carrying her spirit of love and kindness forward.

In this time of grief, we take comfort in knowing that Donna has found eternal peace in the arms of her Creator, and her legacy will continue to touch lives for generations to come. May her soul rest in everlasting peace.
