Ed Isham Life Story

Ed Isham, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was born on September 29, 1959, and passed on February 12, 2024. Leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love for the outdoors. Ed was a man whose spirit thrived in the embrace of nature, particularly in the landscapes of his beloved Oklahoma.

Ed's love for the great outdoors was evident in every aspect of his life. Whether he was camping in his RV, casting a line while fishing, or eagerly awaiting the thrill of dove hunting, Ed found solace and joy in the natural world around him. His connection to the Oklahoma landscape was profound, and he reveled in the beauty that surrounded him.

Professionally, Ed was an accomplished engineer, dedicating his skills and expertise to American Fire Protection Group. His contributions to the field showcased his commitment to ensuring the safety of others, a testament to his caring and responsible nature.

When the stresses of life required respite, Ed found comfort in the simple pleasures of a well-earned break. A cigar in hand, paired with a refreshing Jack & Coke, allowed him moments of relaxation and reflection.

Ed graduated from Sapulpa High School in Oklahoma in 1977. He pursued higher education at Oklahoma State University, a testament to his commitment to personal and intellectual growth. His alma mater became a place where he cultivated not only knowledge but also lasting friendships and experiences that shaped his journey.

Among Ed's many talents, his passion for cooking was a source of joy for those fortunate enough to share a meal with him. He delighted in hosting guests, showcasing his culinary skills with specialties like French toast and his famous 'turkey in a barrel.' The warmth of his hospitality and the flavors of his creations linger in the memories of those fortunate to have enjoyed his company.

Above all else, Ed loved his grandchildren, they brought immense joy to his life, and he will be forever missed by them. He loved when they called him Grandpapa.

Ed Isham's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Yet, the legacy of his love for the outdoors, his dedication to his work, and the joy he brought to shared moments will endure as a beacon of inspiration for all who were touched by his presence.

Ed will be joining his father, Phillip Leonard Isham, in heaven.

Those who will be missing Ed here on Earth include his wife, Eddie Jean Isham; his mother, Carlene Malone; his son, James Edward Isham “Jem”; his son and daughters in love, Sabrina Rodriguez, Santiago Ureno, Corina Deleon, Charity Cura; his Grandchildren Alexis Ureno, Immanuel Barcenes, Santana Cura, Ivan Cura, Noah Cura, Santiago Blue Ureno, Samson James Ureno, Jorge Deleon, and Levi Deleon; and his great-grandchildren Joel Ureno, Abigail Garcia, and Laila Chairez.
