Edgar Gonzalez-Calixto Life Story

Edgar Javier González Calixto
October 6, 1999 - January 21, 2026

With profound sorrow and love beyond measure, we announce the passing of Edgar Javier González Calixto, who left this world on January 20, 2026, at the age of 26. Edgar was born on October 6, 1999, in Dallas, Texas, to Francisco Javier González and María de Jesús Calixto Rodríguez. Though his life was far too short, Edgar lived it boldly, passionately, and with a heart full of love for his family and those closest to him.

Edgar was a family-oriented man in every sense of the word. Above all else, he loved his children deeply and unconditionally. They were his pride, his joy, and his greatest motivation in life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Isabel Ruiz Mondragón, and a loving father to his five beautiful children: Kimberly González, Emily González, Kamila González, Adriel González, and Valentina González. Everything Edgar did, he did with his family in mind.

Edgar had a personality that filled every room he entered. He was always smiling, always laughing, and always spreading good energy. Those who knew him will remember his infectious happiness, his easygoing spirit, and the warmth he carried with him wherever he went. He lived life unapologetically and authentically, never afraid to be himself.

He had many passions that defined who he was. Edgar loved playing PS-5, especially FIFA, where his competitive side came alive. Music was always playing around him, particularly rap music, which matched his style and confidence. He was a loyal fan of Club América, admired Argentina and Lionel Messi, and proudly supported the Los Angeles Lakers.

Edgar loved being on the road, driving around Dallas, enjoying the city lights, the freedom, and the music turned up loud. He took pride in his appearance-always fresh, always stylish. He loved hats and sneakers, wore his favorite Million Dollar cologne, and expressed himself through his tattoos, both as an art form and a reflection of his life story. He was also a talented tattoo artist, using his creativity and skill to leave meaningful marks that told stories on skin.

Food was another one of Edgar's great joys. He loved Mexican food, especially tacos and enchiladas, and enjoyed eating at his favorite spots like Rio Bravo and Enchiladas in Dallas. He had a unique taste-he loved oatmeal, frijoles, and famously put mayonnaise on everything he ate, something that always made family and friends smile. He also enjoyed his drinks, especially Modelo, Twisted Tea, and Coronas, often shared during time spent with loved ones.

Edgar had a special bond with his dog, Chapo, an American Bully who was more than just a pet-he was family. Chapo was always by Edgar's side, and their connection was one of loyalty, companionship, and love.

He is survived by his beloved wife Isabel Ruiz Mondragón; his five children Kimberly Gonzalez, Emily Gonzalez, Kamila Gonzalez, Adriel Gonzalez, Valentina Gonzalez; his mother María de Jesús Calixto Rodríguez; his fathers Francisco Javier González and Marvin Flores; his brother Francisco Omar González Calixto; and his sisters Lluvia González Calixto and Cristol Calixto.

Edgar was preceded in death by grandfather Fernando Calixto Meléndez and his beloved dog Chapo González, whom he loved deeply.

Edgar's life, though brief, was rich with love, laughter, creativity, and meaning. His legacy lives on through his children, his art, his stories, and the countless memories he created with those who loved him. He will be remembered not for how he left, but for how he lived-fully, passionately, and with his heart wide open.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Edgar's spirit will live on forever in the lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Edgar Javier González Calixto.
You will always be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
