Felicitas Reza Life Story

Felicitas Reza, 94, of Dallas,Texas, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025. She was known by different nicknames including "Fela" and "Doña Fela." Her beloved grandkids affectionately called her "Wela Fela."


Felicitas was born in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico on August 25,1930. She was married to Ramon Reza for 56 years, proudly raising a family of 10 children.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon, and their children, Lazaro, Maria Guadalupe "Tana," Genaro, Lucila, and Gabino.


Felicitas is survived by her 5 children: Guillermina, Ramon Jr., Dora, Diana, and Ruben, as well as 30 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.


As a devout homemaker for most of her life and proud matriarch, her enormous family meant everything to her. She had a heart of gold and loved being a doting mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always saw the good in others first and was nurturing, loving, caring, strong, and compassionate. Felicitas loved Life, Laughter, Lucha (wrestling), and Loteria (Mexican bingo). She was truly the epitome of a larger than life woman, whose legacy transcended 4 generations.


In the late 1970s she entered the workforce for several years where she experienced a sense of personal accomplishment and fulfillment. An especially notable moment in her life was becoming a US citizen in 2006, giving her the right to vote, which she proudly exercised.


She will be deeply missed by her beautiful family, dear friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.


Arrangements
A viewing and Rosary service will be held on Thursday, September 4th from 5pm- 8pm at Hughes Family Tribute Center, 9700 Webb Chapel Rd, Dallas, TX 75220.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 5th at 111amat The Oaks Baptist Church, 801 E. Interstate 20, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. The burial service will follow at 22pmat Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.

Felicitas Reza, de 94 años, residente de Dallas, Texas, falleció pacíficamente el 24 de agosto de 2025. Las personas que la conocian le llamaban "Fela" y "Doña Fela", como muestra de amistad.Sus queridos nietos la llamaban cariñosamente "Wela Fela".

Felicitas nació en Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, México, el 25 de agosto de 1930. Estuvo casada con Ramón Reza durante 56 años, criando con orgullo a una familia de 10 hijos.

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Ramón, y sus hijos: Lázaro, María Guadalupe "Tana," Genaro, Lucila y Gabino.

Le sobreviven sus 5 hijos: Guillermina, Ramón Jr., Dora, Diana y Rubén, así como 30 nietos y 41 bisnietos.

Como devota ama de casa durante la mayor parte de su vida y orgullosa matriarca, su enorme familia lo era todo para ella. Tenía un corazón de oro y disfrutaba siendo madre, abuela y bisabuela cariñosa. Siempre veía primero el bien en los demás y era amorosa, atenta, fuerte y compasiva. Felicitas amaba la vida, la risa, la lucha libre y la lotería. Era la personificación de una mujer trascendental, cuyo legado trascendió cuatro generaciones.

A finales de la década de 1970, se incorporó al mercado laboral durante varios años, donde experimentó una sensación de realización y plenitud personal. Un momento especialmente notable en su vida fue obtener la ciudadanía estadounidense en 2006, lo que le otorgó el derecho al voto, el cual ejerció con orgullo.

Su hermosa familia, sus queridos amigos y todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla, la extrañaran profundamente.
