Gbenga Babatunde Odumosu was born on January 23, 1988, in Nigeria to Joel and Oluranti Odumosu (Late). He grew up with a deep love for his country and a strong bond with his siblings, as well as friendships that shaped him and remained important throughout his life.
As a young man, whilst in Nigeria, Gbenga welcomed his first child, Eniola in 2009, marking the beginning of his journey as a devoted father. Gbenga later joined some of his siblings in the United Kingdom to pursue his education. His journey later carried him across the ocean to the United States, where he initially settled in Portland, Oregon. There, he met Delicia, and together they welcomed their beloved daughter, Abiola. He constantly remindied her that she was beautiful and capable of achieving anything she set her mind to. His path later led him to Los Angeles, California, where he pursued his dream of film directing and videography.
In 2022, Gbenga moved to Dallas, Texas. Gbenga loved to travel to California, Florida, the United Kingdom, and the Bahamas. He loved the ocean and the beach-places where laughter came easily and time seemed to slow down.
In his downtime, Gbenga enjoyed action movies starring Jason Statham and watching the series Stranger Things. He also loved a good soccer match and appreciated the excitement and sense of connection the game brought.
Gbenga was extremely hardworking, and it was difficult to get him to sit still. Whatever he did, he approached with dedication and heart. He was an entrepreneur involved in several businesses, including videography, car sales, and insurance.
He was always motivated by a genuine desire to help others. A follower of Jesus Christ, his faith guided the way he lived and loved.
After undergoing brain surgery in December 2025, Gbenga sadly passed away on February 4, 2026. Though his time on earth was short, the love he gave was profound-especially to his son, Eniola Jeffrey Odumosu, his daughter, Abiola Odumosu and her mother, Delicia; his father, Joel Odumosu; and his siblings Oluwole Odumosu, Omobolanle Bodunrin, Oluwatoyin Odumosu, Temitope Afolabi, Titilope Oke, Oluwabunmi Aderogba, Kiishi Olawale Odumosu, Olayiwola Odumosu, Olakunle Odumosu, the late Olubukola Odumosu, and Akintubosun Akinola.
Gbenga's legacy lives on through his children. Their father's love continues to guide them every day, reminding them that they are deeply and forever loved.
