Hermila Alicia Montemayor Garza

Hermila Alicia Montemayor Garza passed away peacefully at her home in Dallas, Texas, on October 27, 2025.

Born in Mexico on June 21, 1941, she was the daughter of Antonio Montemayor Lozano and Petra Lozano Perez. She grew up in Monterrey, where she attended the Institute of Beauty "Álamo," receiving a diploma as a Professor in the Art of Culture and Beauty. She later attended the University of Nuevo León and earned a certificate in sewing.

Hermila married Armando Garza on December 29, 1966. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Hector, Benito, and Heriberto; and her husband, Armando.

She is survived by her sister, Esthela; her children, Hermila Fratto (Louis), Griselda Finestead (Eric), and Armando Garza Jr.; and her grandchildren-Michael, Alex, Catherine, Gwenith, Nicholas, Ethan, and Christian.

Hermila enjoyed gardening, particularly caring for her roses, and spending time at home.
