James Lamb

James Macarthur Lamb (Jim) of The Colony, Texas, passed away July 16th, 2020 at the age of 74. Jim was born on July 25, 1945 in Glenville, West Virginia. After living in many different parts of the US, he settled in North Texas in 2000. He was joined in marriage to Ester Ortiz in 2015 and lived out his life as an avid horseman and cowboy. He and Ester shared a love of days in the saddle and showing his cutting horses.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Clee Burl and Lena Mae Cogar Lamb, of Gilmer County West Virginia.

Jim is survived by his wife Ester of The Colony, Texas; his daughter Sheri Ann Ware of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers: Paul Lamb of Eubank, Kentucky and Russell Lamb of Big Springs, West Virginia: two sisters Carol Messing and Reta Lamb of New Bern, North Carolina; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

Services are as follows:

Visitation for friends and family will be Monday July 20th, 2020 from 4pm-8pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 21st at 11am, both will be held at the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, McKinney Texas with Pastor Kevin Clinton officiating services. Graveside services will be held in Glenville, West Virginia on Friday July 24th, 2020 at 11am.
