Dad came to know the Lord as his personal savior at Pleasant Mound Baptist Church of which his great-grandparents were the founding members. My parents raised us in a Christian home of which the doors were always open to friends, family and neighbors for food, laughter and love.
He loved fishing of all kinds and took us on many fishing adventures and family vacations. Wherever we went, we always ended up back in Estes Park, Colorado which was our home away from home. Dad had a love for the Rockies since he first visit with our Mom on their honeymoon.
Dad's Celebration of Life will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, March 4, 2022, with food, fun and family visitation at Hughes Family Tribute Center located at 9700 Webb Chapel Rd, Dallas, Texas 75220. The graveside service will immediately follow at 3 pm.
Dad will be greatly missed and was loved by all who knew him for his kindness, care and concern for others.
