John Warner Deckard

John Warner Deckard (Johnny), born January 23, 1926 in Emory, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Verda Deckard; Wife Anita Deckard; Siblings, Ada Deckard, Trew Deckard, Jimmy Deckard, Steve Deckard, Homer Deckard; Stepson Roger Lindsay, and Grandson Robin Black. He is survived by his children, Angela Sue Kurlan, John Warner Deckard, Johnny Michael Deckard, Danny Trew Deckard, and their spouses; Stepchildren Robert Franklin Lindsay, David James Lindsay, Linda Carol Allen, Sophia Marques, Libby West, Anna Marques and their families; Grandchildren Ashley Davis, Lisa Embry, Stephanie Deckard, and their spouses, Greatgrandchildren Natalie Embry, Luke Embry, Clay Johnson-Deckard, Chase Anglea ; numerous neices, nephews, and extended family. Until his death he was one of the last Veterans of World War II where he served in the Navy. With the exception of 7 years in North Carolina he lived his life in Texas and the vast majority was in Dallas. His life's passion was tied to his owning and running his night clubs over the past 50 years where he developed life-long friendships.
Services will be held crypt side 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, 12/14/2022
with interment immediately after,
