Larry Smith Life Story

Larry Paul Smith was born on September 18, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Kenneth and Katherine Smith. Larry grew up with a deep sense of faith that would guide him throughout his life. He cherished the close relationship he shared with his family and children, becoming a steadfast figure of love and support.

From a young age, Larry developed a love for the outdoors, which became a lifelong passion. He particularly enjoyed fishing, with Lake Fork being his favorite spot. The peacefulness of the water and the thrill of a catch brought him immense joy. Larry also loved golfing and his getaways to Cancun. A loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, he proudly supported his team through all their ups and downs.

Larry married Mary Smith, and together they had three children-Adriana, Christopher, and Amanda-whom they loved with all their hearts. Though their marriage eventually came to an end, the love and respect they had for each other remained. Larry and Mary stayed close friends, always putting their children and family first. His role as a father was one of his greatest joys in life, and he embraced it fully. But it was becoming a PawPaw that truly lit up his world. His grandchildren-McKenzie, Benjamin, and Lola-brought him boundless happiness, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them and sharing laughs.

Larry was a dedicated worker, serving as a Store Manager for PPG Paints, where he was respected for his hard work, reliability, and leadership. He took pride in his work, always ensuring that his team succeeded together.

Though his passing was sudden, Larry's family takes comfort in knowing that he joins his father, Kenneth Paul Smith, in heaven. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength, carried on by his mother, Katherine Costello; his children Adriana Bright, Christopher Smith and his wife Janae, and Amanda Raymond; his grandchildren McKenzie Raymond, Benjamin Bright, and Lola Smith will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives. Larry is also survived by the mother of his children, Mary Smith, his sisters Catherine Guthrie, Lisa Smith, and Brenda Smith, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews, Stacy Boston and her husband Colton, Chance Guthrie, Taylor Smith Fernandez and her husband Diego.

Keep those fingers snapping and playing that air keyboard in heaven!
