Leonidas Sipiran Life Story

Leonidas Teodora Sipiran, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 6th, 2023, at the age of 81 in Farmers Branch, Texas. She was born on May 20th, 1941, in Peru to her parents, Jesus and Leonidas Arauco.

Leonidas was a woman of great dedication and love for her family. She worked as a kitchen aide for the Farmers Branch Independent School District so that she could be close to her grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. She was married to her beloved husband, Norman Sipiran, who preceded her in death. Together, they had four children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Leonidas lived life to the fullest and had many passions. She loved cooking Peruvian meals for her family, especially her famous Peruvian spaghetti. She enjoyed gardening and had a particular fondness for sunflowers. She loved traveling and going on road trips with her husband and grandchildren. They had even purchased a van specifically for these trips.

One of her favorite destinations was the beach, where she could often be found in a beach chair, yelling from the shore for her family not to go too deep. She especially loved Destin, South Padre, and Cancun.

Despite her many interests and hobbies, Leonidas' greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She traveled to Livingston often to visit her son, sometimes using spare change for gas when she couldn't afford the trip, that was the dedication she had to her family. She was devoted to her family and did everything she could to make sure they knew how much she loved them.

Leonidas' memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her love of life, her devotion to her family, and her infectious joy. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were lucky enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of her family.

Those missing her on Earth include her daughter, Mayuli Nava and her husband Efren; her son, Dennis Sipiran; her daughter, Bianca Sipiran; her son, Randy Sipiran and his wife Esmeralda; her grandchildren, Alexander Nava, Dennis Nava, Ruby Nava, Blanca Jade Sipiran, Chastity Hankins, Natalie Hankins, Victoria Sipiran, Isabella Sipiran, and Leonardo Sipiran; and her great granchildren, Anthony, Joseph, Jeremiah, Gabriela, and Serenity.

Leonidas will be joining in heaven her beloved husband; her parents; her brothers, Samuel Arauco and Santos Arauco; and her sisters, Lorgia Tapia and Delphina Porras.
