Leonila Gonzales

Leonila Aguilar Gonzales passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2022, at the age of 89.

Leonila was born on January 22, 1933, to Bonifacio and Maria De La Luz Aguilar.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Augustin, Frank, Gilbert, Arnold, and Daniel Aguilar; and sisters Maria Padilla and Elena Figueroa.

Leonila is survived by her husband Sylvester Gonzales Jr.; son Paul Gonzales; daughters Laura Rosales and Diane Davis; granddaughters Adrianne and Alexandra Rosales; 2 great granddaughters; sisters Christina Kirchmeyer, Eloisa Espinoza, Victoria La Pinska, Herminia Puentes and Yolanda Vaquera.

"Nila" was a skilled seamstress and worked in the clothing and retail industries for many years until her retirement. During her retirement she enjoyed designing and creating skating outfits for her beloved granddaughters, attending their various school and extra-curricular functions, and frequent trips to Oklahoma.

Visitation is on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 6-8pm (Rosary 7pm) at Hughes Family Tribute Center, 9700 Webb Chapel Rd., Dallas, TX 75220.

Private burial to follow.
