Liam Dean Blake

Liam Dean Blake, cherished and beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully in his parents arms surrounded by his loving and devoted sisters and family on Thursday, January 27, 2022, after a brave and heroic life. He was born on Friday, January 19, 2018, weighing 8lbs 10 oz. to his adoring parents, Russell and Katy, and smitten sisters, Claire and Colleen. Right after Liam's first birthday, he received the diagnosis of PIGA-CDG, a very rare metabolic disorder that impacts every body system. Liam fought bravely against unrelenting seizures and many medical conditions his whole life. Liam, or Lamby as his sisters lovingly nicknamed right after he was born, was our love bug with his sweet soul, beautiful eyes, gorgeous curly hair, calm, steady temperament, and easy-going, gentle spirit. Liam loved his sisters beyond measure and always wanted to be near them and part of whatever they were up to. Claire and Colleen would often hop onto his bed anytime of day just to be near him and talk and play. They loved to snuggle and read his favorite stories and look at the details in pictures together. The girls would join Liam during his many therapies and lessons as often as they could. Liam loved bright lights, bubbles, and all types of music. He also really loved taking showers and being in the water. The trio also loved watching shows together on Liam's iPad and especially loved exploring their neighborhood on lovely walks with their parents. The whole family loved the opportunities to enjoy fresh air together and do things as a family of five. Liam also loved going on car rides and getting out and about around town. He even visited an all abilities park a few weeks prior to his passing. Liam was and will always be a complete joy and blessing to his family and friends. He was easy to love and be around, and we will always have wanted more time with him. He was the bravest, strongest little boy we will ever know, and we are beyond grateful and blessed to have loved him in our arms for four years, one week, one day, and 56 minutes. Liam will be greatly missed by his parents, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends, and incredible medical community. He made each of us better, and we miss him dearly.
