Lora Dell (Blagg) McAllister

Lora Dell Blagg McAllister, age 85, of Denton, Texas passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving daughters, at Cross Timbers Care Center in Flower Mound, Texas.

Lora was born August 19, 1932 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Ernest and Ruth Blagg. She was a loving and compassionate mother, devoted to her children and family. Lora's passion outside of the home was hair dressing, which she did for over 30 years. However, being one to never limit herself, she used her entrepreneurial spirit to turn her ideas into reality. Eventually, this led to her owning her own successful ceramic shop. After retirement, she spent her remaining years in Denton, as an ordained minister sharing the Gospel and praying for others. Her other passions included tending her vegetable garden, cooking, entertaining family and playing games. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to gospel songs by Elvis Presley, her favorite artist. In addition, she adored her church family and was a member of Full Gospel Church in Denton.

Lora is survived by her daughters, Sherri Johnson of Richardson; Toni Creecy and husband Jerry of Plano; Traci Laney and husband Todd of Flower Mound; brother Thomas Blagg and wife Sherry of New Braunfels; niece Leslie Horn and husband Greg of Commerce; grandsons Adam Zelazny of San Francisco; Justin Laney of Grapevine; Tyler Ramirez of Fort Worth and Connor Ramirez of Plano; Ryan Creecy and wife Morgan of Allen; granddaughter Anna Creecy of Plano; great niece Chloe Horn and great nephew Thomas Horn of Commerce and great grandson Oliver Creecy of Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Lois Blagg; brother Donald Lee Blagg; sisters Betty Joan Blagg and Patricia Ann Blagg; and son Michael Wayne Johnson.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00 am at Hughes Family Tribute Center, 9700 Webb Chapel Road Dallas, Texas 75220.
