Luciano "Lucio" Picina Cabrera

Luciano "Lucio" Cabrera was a people person. He loved everyone and was so full of life. He was always on the move. He enjoyed his big family and treasured each and every one of them. He was born a caregiver and loved children and babies. When he was 15, he did a favor for a friend and picked Margaret up to bring her to a date with his friend. The stars were aligned and the angels were at work, because Margaret was the perfect match for Lucio. They were married on June 6, 1958 and lived 60 wonderful years together, raising a family and enjoying many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whenever family came to the house, he always required them to eat. Even if they weren't hungry, he would insist they eat. Of course, they didn't mind because everything was delicious. Lucio and Margaret has a special place in their heart for babies, children, and the elderly. They helped raise many of their grandchildren.

Lucio peacefully passed away Monday evening, June 14, 2021 surrounded by his beloved daughter and son-in-law at home. Lucio is reunited with his parents; his son, Johnny Cabrera; and thirteen siblings in heaven. He leaves behind his daughter, Lora Hora and her husband Chris; Grandchildren, Tammy Esmeralda Garza; Ashlee Hood and her husband David McKinney; and Stacy Hyde and her husband Connor; Great Grandchildren, Galilea Esmeraldo Garza, Graciela Margaret Garza, and Evelyn Jade Hyde- whom he loved dearly and cried when she came into the world, but never got to meet.

Lucio's big personality and love will be missed by all that knew him.
