Teresa Maria Abernathy was born on January 11, 1938 and passed away August 11,2024 at her home in Irving, Texas.

Teresa worked for the Irving Independent School district in the Cafeteria where she retired in 1991.
Teresa loved her children, Grand children, great grandchildren and friends. She cherished her family more than anything.
She always made sure everyone was taken care of, if you needed to talk, she was there to listen with an open mind. She loved with her whole heart and soul.
Teresa was the best tamale maker in town, anyone that came to her home never left on an empty stomach.
Grandma and mom as she was known by many had an open door policy and a smile that would light up any room.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Please live your life like “spicy lil Wonder Woman” lived hers, full of love and compassion for others. Smile daily, laugh often, be selfless always. Never forget to thank God for waking you up.
P.S.
In the words of Mom/ Wuella
Please don’t cry for me, laugh for me because I’m in a better place.
Por favor no llores por mi, rie for mi porque estoy en un lugar major.
Dios te bendiga
