Con el corazón verdaderamente roto, compartimos la triste noticia del fallecimiento de nuestra amada esposa, madre, hermana y abuela, María Antonia Sánchez, quien partió de este mundo el 21 de junio de 2025, rodeada del amor de su familia. Fue el pilar de nuestras vidas-el lazo que nos mantuvo unidos en cada etapa. Una mujer cuyo amor, fortaleza, valentía y gracia marcaron profundamente la vida de todos los que la conocieron.

María Antonia Alfaro nació el 4 de agosto de 1960 en Querétaro, Guanajuato, México, hija de sus amorosos padres Juan Alfaro Espinoza y María Socorro Reséndiz León. Creció en un hogar alegre junto a tres hermanos y dos hermanas, rodeada del calor familiar, la tradición y una fe profunda-valores que la guiaron a lo largo de su vida.

Desde temprana edad, María mostró un espíritu generoso, una fuerza tranquila y un profundo sentido de responsabilidad. Conoció al amor de su vida, Manuel Sánchez, y juntos construyeron un matrimonio basado en el amor, el respeto mutuo y la resiliencia. Sus 42 años de matrimonio estuvieron llenos de entrega, alegría y un compromiso inquebrantable-una unión que inspiró a todos los que los rodeaban.

En 1986, María y Manuel tomaron la valiente decisión de dejar México en busca de un mejor futuro para su familia. Con fe firme y determinación, construyeron una nueva vida en los Estados Unidos, sin perder nunca las tradiciones ni los valores que los definían.

Dueña de un talento especial para el hogar y la cocina, María convirtió su casa en un refugio de amor y consuelo. Su mole pozole eran legendarios, y las comidas familiares eran momentos sagrados llenos de historias, risas y calidez. Su cocina era el corazón del hogar, y su comida llevaba el alma de su amor.

María también fue una talentosa costurera, conocida por confeccionar ropa con un cuidado y una precisión excepcionales. Uno de sus logros más queridos fue haber creado a mano el vestido de novia de su hija-un símbolo duradero de amor, arte y dedicación.

El corazón de Maria siempre estuvo abierto a los demás. Tenía una manera silenciosa pero poderosa de estar presente cuando alguien lo necesitaba, ya fuera con una comida, apoyo o simplemente una presencia cariñosa. Encontraba alegría en dar, en amar con intensidad y en proteger a su familia por encima de todo. También le encantaba el chocolate-uno de sus pequeños placeres que siempre la alegraban.

Su profunda devoción a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe fue una luz que la guió durante toda su vida. Su fe le brindó fortaleza en los momentos difíciles y paz en tiempos de incertidumbre. Incluso durante su valiente batalla contra el cáncer, se aferró con firmeza a su fe y a su familia, luchando con todo su ser para permanecer junto a sus seres queridos.

Le sobreviven su devoto esposo Manuel Sánchez, sus queridos hijos Manuel, Juan, Anthony, Jonathan y Jhannet, sus hijos nuera Marisa y yerno Saúl, y sus adorados nietos Allyson, Alexa y Damian quienes le llamban "Ita'. También la recuerdan con cariño muchos más que tuvieron la dicha de conocer su bondad, generosidad y amor incondicional.

Incluso en silencio, su amor hablaba con fuerza. El legado de María es de amor, fe, sacrificio y heroísmo silencioso. Fue nuestra mayor admiradora, nuestro consuelo, nuestra constante. Su amor, guía y entrega desinteresada permanecerán grabados en nuestros corazones para siempre.

Celebración de Vida

Habrá una velación el miércoles en Hughes Funeral Service de 5:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., y una Misa de cuerpo presentese celebrará el jueves 26 de junio a las 10:00 a.m. en Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Todos los que la amaron son bienvenidos para asistir y honrar su hermosa vida.

With truly broken hearts, we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Maria Antonia Sanchez, who left this world on June 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the foundation of our lives-the glue that held us together through every season. A woman whose love, strength, courage and grace shaped the lives of everyone she touched.

Maria Antonia Alfaro was born on August 4, 1960, in Querétaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, to her loving parents, Juan Alfaro Espinoza and Maria Socorro Resendiz Leon. Raised in a joyful home with three brothers and two sisters, she grew up immersed in the warmth of family, tradition, and faith-values that would guide her throughout her life.

From a young age, Maria's nurturing spirit, quiet strength, and deep sense of responsibility were evident. She met the love of her life, Manuel Sanchez, and together they built a marriage rooted in love, mutual respect, and resilience. Their 42 years of marriage were filled with devotion, laughter, and unshakable commitment-a partnership that was a source of inspiration to all who knew them.

In 1986, Maria and Manuel made the courageous decision to leave Mexico in pursuit of a better future for their family. With unwavering faith and determination, they built a new life in the United States, always holding close to the traditions and values that defined them.

A gifted homemaker and extraordinary cook, Maria transformed her home into a sanctuary of love and comfort. Her mole and pozole were legendary, and mealtimes were sacred family gatherings filled with stories, laughter, and warmth. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, and her food carried the soul of her love.

Maria was also a talented seamstress, known for crafting clothes with incredible care and precision. One of her proudest achievements was creating her daughter's wedding dress a lasting symbol of love, artistry, and dedication.

Maria's heart was always open to others. She had a quiet way of showing up when someone needed help, offering meals, support, or simply a caring presence. She found joy in giving, in loving fiercely, and in protecting her family above all else. She also had a sweet tooth and a special fondness for chocolate-one of her few indulgences that always brought her joy.

Her deep devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe was a guiding light in her life. Maria's faith brought her strength in times of hardship, and peace in times of uncertainty. Even during her courageous battle with cancer, she held tightly to her faith and family, fighting fiercely to remain with those she loved.

She is survived by her devoted husband Manuel Sanchez, her beloved children Manuel, Juan, Anthony, Jonathan, and Jhannet, her daughter in law Marisa and son in law Saul, and her treasured grandchildren Allyson, Alexa, and Damian who called her 'Ita'. She is also remembered by countless others whose lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Even in silence, her love spoke volumes.

Maria's legacy is one of love, faith, sacrifice, and quiet heroism. She was our biggest cheerleader, our comfort, our constant. Her love, guidance, and selfless devotion will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Celebration of Life

A viewing will be held on Wednesday at Hughes Funeral Service from 5-8 PM, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 26 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. All who loved her are welcome to attend and honor her beautiful life.
