Mark Kevin Casey, 66, passed away peacefully at home in Dallas, TX, on December 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on August 27, 1959, in Attleboro, MA, Mark was the son of the late Richard K. Casey and his mother, Barbara A. Dwyer, who survives him. Raised in Rhode Island, Mark graduated from Cumberland High School. Mark moved to Dallas, TX, where he called home for most of his adult life. Mark was the devoted husband of Jill Pratt (Casey), the love of his life and his soulmate of 18 years.
Mark was a proud and loving father to Nick Casey, Hannah (Adam) Casey, and Jordan (Blake) Bowman, as well as a stepfather to Chase (Caitlin) LaFerney, Julianna (Robert) Smith, and Madeleine LaFerney. Mark found immense joy in welcoming his grandchild, Presley Bowman, and treasured every moment they shared. Mark is also survived by his siblings, Michael Fraatz, Brenda Reis, and Diane Casey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Mark built an impressive career in financial services and entrepreneurship, earning the respect of colleagues and clients through his leadership. He spent many years at Merrill Lynch, serving as Regional Managing Director of Merrill Lynch's Private Banking & Investment Group from June 2004 to December 2011. Following his tenure at Merrill Lynch, Mark continued to make a meaningful impact in business and innovation. Since July 2012, he served as Managing Partner of Newport Ventures, LLC in Dallas, Texas. Since August 2017, he has served as a Board Member of Peloton Aerospace, offering trusted insight and leadership. In September 2019, Mark co-founded The Wealth Creators Network in Dallas, Texas, reflecting his commitment to bettering his community by guiding others.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mark enjoyed spending time at Cedar Creek Lake with his family and spending summers in Newport, Rhode Island. He was an avid pickleball player, enjoying the game almost as much as the long-lasting friendships it brought.
Mark and Jill traveled the world together, exploring new places and creating beautiful memories. Above all, Mark treasured time spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcome, and the profound and lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75225.
