Mary Adamé Life Story

Mary Rodriguez Adamé, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, at the age of 100. Mary was born in Austin, Texas on February 21, 1923, to Antonio and Delfina Rodriguez, and she had 5 siblings with whom she lived all over Texas.

Mary married the love of her life, Catarino L. Adamé, and together they raised one daughter and three sons. She was a devoted and loving mother who instilled the values of kindness, compassion, and faith in her children. Mary always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share.

Mary had a true gift of an incredible memory. She had a wealth of knowledge and could answer any question you had. She was always willing to help and lend a listening ear. Mary was a gentle giant who lived her life with love and compassion, and her faith in God was a constant source of strength. She was strong in her faith and read the bible daily. Mary was never prejudice or discriminated against anyone; she showed everyone love.

Mary was a talented seamstress and was part of an Apparel business where she was chosen by the clothes designers to sew their samples. She sewed samples for 22 years at the Apparel Mart in Dallas, Texas.

Mary joins her parents, siblings, husband, daughter Alicia Adamé, and son Catarino Adamé in heaven. She leaves behind her sons, Antonio and Roberto Adamé, eight grandsons, six great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Mary's family and friends will miss her dearly, but they find comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the arms of her Lord and reunited with her loved ones who preceded her.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 11 am at Hughes Family Tribute Center, with visitation the Sunday night before from 5 - 8 pm.
