Mary Mejest Life Story

Mary Aurora Mejest, born on February 3, 1935, in a world that would come to know her kindness and warmth, passed away on December 29, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate with those who knew her. Mary was a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a compassionate caregiver who touched the lives of many throughout her remarkable journey. With a heart full of generosity, Mary dedicated herself to those around her. Her love for people was evident in every interaction, as she spent many years working as a nanny, nurturing countless children with patience and grace. She was a radiant spirit who found joy in serving others, fundamentally believing in the beauty of compassion and kindness. Mary was a true Christian woman, embodying her faith through acts of service and an unwavering commitment to love. Her home was a sanctuary for family and friends, where laughter and love filled the air. She was known for her boundless compassion, always willing to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. A passionate collector of dolls for many years, Mary found joy in her cherished treasures, lovingly arranging them as symbols of her creative spirit. Shopping for that next perfect doll was more than a hobby; it was a way for Mary to express her love of beauty and delight. Her playful heart remained vibrant throughout her life, and memories of her cheerful spirit will forever grace the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her. Mary is survived by her beloved daughters, Mary Saucedo, Juliana Zavala, Irene Boozer and Aurora Pina, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren (5 generations) who are a testament to her unwavering love and guidance. She is preceded in death by her cherished family member's daughter Juanita Pina, son Gilbert Pina, mother Juliana Mejest, father Fred Mejest, sisters Frances Aceves, Inez Aceves, Henrietta Parker and Fred Mejest Jr. whose love and warmth shall forever be remembered. A graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery on January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., where friends and family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. Prior to this, a committal service will take place in the chapel at 9:00 a.m., followed by a family viewing on January 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The burial will take place in the scenic Oakland Cemetery, located at 3900 Oakland Cir, Dallas, TX 75215. Mary Aurora Mejests life was a beautiful tapestry of love, service, and joy, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
