Happy first heavenly birthday to Mildred Eddins, whom her family misses so much!

Our beloved Mildred Winstead Frye King Eddins, 84, passed away October 31, 2019. Born in Kingsport, Tenn., on April 26, 1935, to Rev. Raymond “Rex” and Stella Faye Moore Winstead, she was the third-oldest of seven siblings; all but two preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Lois Jane Hodge Crawford, and brother, Roy Harrison Winstead. She was mother of three children, Gerald David Frye, Vicki Loring Young Ferreira, and Sidney Michael King, and she was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who brought much happiness to her.
Mildred was a very active lady. She loved babysitting. She managed three showrooms in the Furniture Mart; she modeled for several showrooms in the Apparel Mart and several other clubs. She taught dancing for Arthur Murray Dance Studio and belonged to several ballroom and round dance clubs, including S’Amuser, Bali Hai, Kermis, Rondo-Carrousel, Kalista, Trippers and Marilyn Meyers Dance Connections Club. She loved ballroom dancing, round dancing and square dancing, clogging and tap dancing. She loved bowling, snow skiing, golfing and working in her yard. She was an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and belonged to three women’s Christian clubs.
