Omar Gonzalez

Omar Gonzalez, age 70, passed away on November 26, 2021. He was born in Mexico on August 15, 1951 to Jose Flores Quiroga and Juanita Gonzalez Cavazos. 42 years ago, Omar married Leticia Ibarra, the love of his life.

Omar was truly the life of the party, his family would even call him over the top at times. He loved gambling, whether he was at Lone Star Park for some horse racing or his favorite casino in Mexico. He also loved a trip to the corner store to pick up some scratch off lottery tickets. In addition to this, Omar loved the Dallas Cowboys and soccer.

Where Omar's love truly was though, was with his family. He loved his wife, children, and grandson more than life itself. He enjoyed having fun with his family and spending as much quality time with them as possible.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia Ibarra; his children, Omar Flores and wife Yessica Mendoza, Leticia Flores Sosa, and Jose Flores; and his grandson, Julio Sosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Flores Quiroga and Juanita Gonzalez Cavazos.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, 3rd of December, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hughes Family Tribute Center.
