Ophelia Rendon Arguinzoni (August 15, 1927-December 3, 2022) passed away peacefully in her Seagoville, Texas home. She was born in Dallas to loving parents and worked in the family's grocery store as a child and teenager. Ophelia left home to work as a wielder in Galveston during World War II. After the war, she married her husband Gilbert and they remained together for 59 years until his death in 2005. Ophelia and Gilbert had five daughters, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Ophelia was a kind, compassionate and loving woman who not only raised her own children but helped take care of her nephews and nieces. In later years she and Gilbert ran a successful grocery store business and helped her daughters with businesses of their own.
After retirement, Ophelia dedicated her life to taking care of her husband who had health issues. Together they enjoyed traveling, cooking, grocery shopping, watching television and spending time with family and friends.
Ophelia was a devout Catholic who often read the Bible, prayed the rosary, and attended Mass regularly or watched on television when she couldn't physically attend. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always gave loving, encouraging and helpful advice when it was needed. She was loved and admired by all of those who were blessed to have known her. Unfortunately, Ophelia is gone now and will be greatly missed, but she will be in our hearts and loving memories until the wonderful day we are reunited with her again.
