Oscar Jimenez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born in El Salvador on September 16, 1946, to Hermogenez Jimenez and Juana Mejicanos.
Oscar was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife, Teresa Murillo, and his three children. He was also a doting grandfather to his seven grandsons and seven granddaughters, whom he adored.
Oscar worked as a chef at Grand Plaza Hotel, where he was known for his delicious food and jokester personality. He was a skilled cook who took pride in his work and always made sure that his guests were satisfied.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and trucks or watching soccer or soap operas on TV. He loved to dance, especially if Rancheras music or Vicente Fernandez was playing. He also enjoyed traditional Salvadorian food.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Murillo; his sons, Juan Jimenez and Jose Matias Quintanilla; his daughter, Ana Mejicanos; his grandsons, Juan Jimenez,, Carlos Campos, Nelson Mejicanos, Sebastian Mejicanos, John Quintanilla, David Quintanilla, and Jose Quintanilla; and his granddaughters, Julianna Jimenez, Tanya Jimenez, Haley Jimenez, Ennia Campos, Brianna Campos, Sara Campos, and Ruth Quintanilla. All of whom will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Tino Jimenez and Atanael Jimenez; and his sister, Rosa Mejicanos.
Public Viewing will be held Sunday, February 19th, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Hughes Family Tribute Center
Services for Oscar Jimenez will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Hughes Family Tribute Center. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many people.
