Osvaldo was the beloved son of Maria Vela and Catarino Silva, who instilled in him the values of hard work and perseverance from a young age. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, where he formed lifelong friendships and began to shape the character that would define his adult life.
After high school, Osvaldo entered the construction trade, where he demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and a keen attention to detail. His commitment to his job was unparalleled, and he quickly earned the respect of his colleagues. Later, he transitioned into the pest control industry, where he continued to excel and show his dedication to providing for his family.
Osvaldo’s greatest pride and joy was his son, Osvaldo Ezekiel. Becoming a father was the pinnacle of his achievements, and he embraced his role with immense pride and responsibility. He was a doting father, always eager to share stories and pictures of his son, whose presence brought immense happiness to his life.
Known for his sharp intellect and quick wit, Osvaldo had a unique ability to make those around him laugh, even in the toughest of times. His sense of humor was a beacon of light to his friends and family, and his occasional stubbornness was a testament to his strong will and determination.
Osvaldo had a deep passion for fishing, often finding solace and joy in the tranquility of the water. He also enjoyed the thrill of visiting Winstar Casino, where he loved playing Blackjack and Baccarat. His competitive spirit was also evident in his love for playing Call of Duty on his PS5, a pastime he enjoyed during his downtime.
Cruising around Dallas in his Cadillac was one of Osvaldo’s favorite ways to unwind and connect with the city he loved. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he was a true supporter through victories and defeats, always cheering for his team with unwavering loyalty.
Above all, Osvaldo cherished his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Destiny, who was his rock and partner in all things. Their bond was a source of strength and comfort for him, and his love for her was evident to all who knew them.
Osvaldo Silva’s life, though tragically cut short, was filled with moments of joy, love, and hard work. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy will be one of laughter, dedication, and an unyielding love for those he held dear.
He is survived by his wife, Destiny Gonzalez; his son, Osvaldo Ezekiel Silva; his parents, Maria Vela and Catarino Silva; his step-father, Chuy Cobian; his siblings, Catarino Silva, Zuzeth Silva, Bernardo Silva, Yuzel Silva, and Eduardo Vela; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever miss his presence.
