As a nurse, Pushpa was known for her dedication, respect, compassion for patients and professional expertise. Her specialties included Labor and Delivery and High-Risk Obstetrics, which she practiced at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton and at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
