Rex Andrew Phillips was born in Dallas on October 31, 1963 to parents Bobbie and Robert Phillips. Rex quietly left this world behind for a better life on October 28, 2022.
The friends he found in school remained his friends up to his last days. He got more fun out of life than the rest of us, enjoying the music of Rush, playing guitar, biking, and woodworking. His greatest joy was deep sea fishing and anything around the ocean. He never met a cat or dog he didn't love. All who knew him enjoyed his goofy sense of humor, as well as his sense of loyalty. He was blessed with many talents and artistic skills. He attended Dewitt Perry Junior High and Newman Smith High School. Most of all, Rex was a proud Christian and Texan.
The family thanks the nurses at Presbyterian Plano for making him feel loved and cared for. They're all angels to him.
Rex is preceded in death by his younger brother Scott, and his loving grandparents, Royal and Edna Teague. He is survived by his older brother Barney and his nephew Asher of Alaska.
Services for Rex Phillips will be announced later.
