Robert Garcia Herrera

Robert Garcia Herrera "Sasquatch & Dad", 77, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2024 surrounded by family. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27 1:00 p.m. at Hughes Family Tribute Center.

Robert was born on March 7, 1947, in Weslaco, Texas, to Abundio and Andrea Herrera. Dad left all that he knew back home in Weslaco to make a future for his family in Dallas.

Robert's life was marked by his deep compassion and sensitivity. Known affectionately as "Sasquatch" and also by his equally large heart, he was a loving husband to Criselda Herrera, a father to Belinda (Michael) Chisolm, Zelda Herrera, Sergarian (Mikeyona) Herrera, Royiel (Martha) Herrera, and a grandfather to Anthony Theophile, Giovanni Thomas, Sergio Herrera, Destiny Herrera, Roberto Herrera III and Madison Herrera and great grandkids who he loved.  He was preceded in heaven by his son, Roberto A. Herrera Jr., and his grandson, Robert Gabriel Theophile.

Robert was always happiest making others happy, often moved to tears by the deep emotions he felt. His warmth and kindness extended well beyond his family, touching the lives of all who knew him.
