Rudolph "Rudy" Garza, Sr. passed into eternal rest March 11, 2021 at the ripe old age of 101 at home in Grand Prairie, TX. Rudy was born in Donna, TX June 17, 1919. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and was sent to work at Camp David Arizona. Later he was drafted in the US Army Airforce Branch in 1940 and served as a Medical Technician. After the war he became the shop superintendent of Supreme Engraving Company in Dallas and after 25 years of service, retired. He loved life, family and making people laugh. As a faithful member of Agape Memorial UMC, He loved fellowship with the Methodist Men and loved to cook and be in Christmas plays. He is preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Minnie F. Garza. Survived by his daughter, Herlinda G. Rojas and husband Victor of Grand Prairie; son, Rudolph "Rudy" Garza, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA.; daughter, Eva M. Garza of Grand Prairie; grandson Adam L. Nanez and girlfriend Kerrie of Rowlett, TX.; honorary son, Richard C. Lopez and wife JoAnn of Rockwall, TX.; niece, Paula F. Smith and husband Tim; as well as his loving brothers and sisters and all his favorite nieces and nephews from McAllen, TX.
