Salvador Correa Life Story

Salvador Correa

August 15, 1945 – November 15, 2024

Salvador Correa, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas, Texas, on November 15, 2024, at the age of 79.

Born on August 15, 1945, in Durango, Mexico, Salvador grew up with a deep appreciation for family, faith, and hard work. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Maria, in a small, heartfelt ceremony in Mexico. Their union of 58 years was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

In the 1970s, Salvador and Maria immigrated to the United States to build a better future for their growing family. Together, they raised six children, who remember him as a loving, supportive, and hardworking father. Salvador also cherished his nine grandchildren, finding immense joy and pride in their accomplishments.

A devout Catholic, Salvador was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Dallas. His strong faith guided him throughout his life and was a cornerstone of his family’s values.

Salvador was known for his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting deer in West Texas and found peace while fishing at Bachman Lake or Lake Palestine. One of his greatest joys was returning to Mexico every Christmas to reconnect with family and lifelong friends.

He spent much of his career as a maintenance man, earning respect for his dedication and craftsmanship. Salvador retired at the age of 67, allowing him to devote more time to his family, faith, and hobbies.

Salvador will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his generous spirit, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.

Salvador is survived by his wife, Maria Correa; his children, Ismael Correa, Lilli Correa, Mini Correa, Edberto Hery, Veronica Jeffes, Magada Rose, and Heriberto Correa; his daughter-in-laws, Adela Correa and Nicole Hery; his son-in-laws, Jeff Jeffes, and Jeff Rose; his grandchildren, Victoria Correa, Omar Correa, Victor Delgado, Kate Delgado, Gavin Hery, Morgan Hery, Kailin Hery, Brendan Jeffes, and Brenna Jeffes.

Salvador is predeceased by his parents, Salvador Correa and Herminia Arellano de Correa.
