Sean Conrad Life Story

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sean Conrad, a deeply beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who left this world on August 26, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 42. Born on August 7, 1982, in Minot, North Dakota, to his loving parents, Kevin and Heidi Conrad, Sean's life was a testament to love, resilience, and honor.

Sean experienced military life from birth, as his father was an active duty United States Air Force pilot. As part of the military life, his family moved several times. Then his life and family became more stable as they settled in Peachtree City, Georgia. With his father a line pilot for Delta Air Lines, it allowed Sean to travel and see many different places. Sean's love of nature and animals was always a central part of his life. He had a passion for soccer and played actively from age 4 through high school. Sean loved all things automotive, especially in customizing cars to reflect his personality. Sean graduated from Starr's Mill High School in 2000. He attended the Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, until the events of 9/11 called him to duty.

Sean was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he volunteered to serve his country after 9/11. Sean served with honor and dedication during the Global War on Terrorism as a paratrooper in the 519th Military Intelligence Battalion, Tactical Exploitation (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He deployed as a human intelligence collector in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His time in the military instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, commitment, and camaraderie, which he carried into all aspects of his life.

Sean was a devoted husband to his wife, Erika. They met in December 2010 and after a wonderful courtship were married on April 26, 2014 at Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia. They honeymooned in Aruba and later baby-mooned in St. Maarten. Their marriage was built on mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with love, where they cherished their time as a family. Sean was a source of strength and knowledge for Erika, often providing comfort and warmth to ease Erika's concerns. Sean always did everything he could to make Erika happy, going along with Erika's family activities and plans that included a trip to Disney World in July 2024.

As a father, Sean was nothing short of extraordinary. He poured his heart into raising his beloved daughter, Bella, teaching her valuable life skills and imparting wisdom that will guide her throughout her life. Whether it was soccer drills in the backyard, teaching her how to change oil, or simply sharing stories around the dinner table, Sean made every moment count. His playful spirit and genuine love made him a father who always encouraged Bella to explore the world and embrace her passions.

Sean had a profound love for the outdoors. He found joy in nature, often relaxing in the backyard while tending to a fire pit, listening to music and telling stories. His passion for grilling was well-known among friends and family; he loved preparing delicious meals that brought everyone together, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy.

A deeply caring and protective man, Sean had a strong sense of loyalty, which guided his actions and interactions with others.

Sean is survived by his wife, Erika Conrad; his daughter, Bella Conrad; his parents, Kevin and Heidi Conrad; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Rosa Ramirez; and his sister and brother-in-laws, Jose and Mayra Rivera, Adrian Ramirez; and nieces, Victoria Rivera and Audrina Ramirez.

Sean is reunited with his dear aunt Darlene Wimmer; his maternal grandparents, Jeanne and Joel Thompson, and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Helen Conrad.
