Sleta Butler

Born April 3. 1931 went to reunite with her family on November 30.2023 in El Paso, Texas. Sleta was born in Dallas Texas and spent several years as a switchboard operator for Braniff Airways. Sleta was a devoted wife and mother as well as a trusting loving sister and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Addie Gafford., brother Johnny Gafford, sisters Pauline Gafford Shaw and Eunice Gafford Taylor, a loving husband Joel Truett (JT/Blackie) Butler, and sons Robert Leonard (Len) and Joel Wesley Butler. Sleta is survived by a niece, Linda Taylor Siegel of Orrville, Ohio and very special friends Lola Ruth and Sleta Ruth Handly of El Paso. Services Saturday at noon with interment following at Crown Hill Memorial Park
